Coast to Coast...like Tyus Edney against Mizzou

In MTAC's top five ladies is the one and only Kristin Cavalieri from Laguna Beach fame. In the pantheon of reality TV babes, she has to rank at the top. As much as her Laguna rival LC is the "it" girl of MTV, she doesn't hold a candle to our girl Kristin. The Giants inked CF Aaron Rowand for five years and $60 million. Wow. Meanwhile, the Mitchell report comes out today. How much says Miguel Tejada and Bret Boone are named? We will know in a few short hours. Lets talk about more important things, such as Jessica Simpson potentially doing a nude scene in a movie. The movie could be worse than Showgirls, yet thousands of men would flock to see it. Look at what Swordfish did for Hallie Berry. A good read here on the All Bust NFL team of 2007. LJ over Cedric Benson? We respectfully disagree. The Cubs cut the cord on one time phenom Mark Prior. Have injuries derailed a more promising pitching career in the last 15 years? If I were Prior, I would blame Dusty Baker for abusing me my first two years. This lack of Big Ten Network is a joke. speaking of jokes, the Michigan/Oakland University game, which was on big ten network that nobody gets. The Golden Grizzlies, coached by Greg "hair weave" Kampe are the worst defensive team anyone has ever seen. I think UM's season high was like 72 pts.. they have 92! This tells you how bad Oakland must be. Michigan lost to Harvard two weeks ago.

#17 Xavier 64 Cincinnati 59 - The crosstown classic is always a close game, regardless on how good or poor the teams are. This year its Xavier is the class of the game, and they pulled it out thanks to Derek Brown. Their best big man, Josh Duncan had to be helped off to the locker room with a knee injury. So Brown took over and scored 11 points in the final seven minutes to pull it out for the Musketeers. Clearly the more talented team, Xavier trailed by two with less than three minutes to go. More proof this is more than just any other game; Cincinnati, now 4-5, is off to their worst start in 22 years and have already lost to Belmont, Bowling Green, and Illinois State. "This is different from any other game," senior guard Stanley Burrell said. "It's emotional and guys are fighting, there are technical fouls. We wanted to set the tone, and that's what we did tonight. We made the plays down the stretch to win it."

#21 Vanderbilt 91 Depaul 85 OT - Here's how I know Vanderbilt isn't that good, they needed OT to beat a very poor Depaul team devoid of talent. I don't care that they are 10-0. I know it was a road game, but the Commodores trailed by 18 in the second half and needed a furious rally to force OT. Once they got there, Shan Foster and AJ Ogilvy took over. Alan Metcalfe scored 17 off the bench which was huge considering Foster and Ogilvy didn't show until late in the second half and OT. Meanwhile, its going to be a long year for Jerry Wainwright's Depaul club.

#25 BYU 88 Lamar 66 - BYU was due for an easy win after playing a brutal early season schedule which included North Carolina, Louisville, and Michigan State. Lee Cummard had a big night with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists to lead the Cougars in this blowout win. Stud big man Trent Plaisted added 22, seven boards, and five assists. This is a team nobody will want to play in March.

Arkansas 67 Texas-San Antonio 42 - Will someone explain to me how Arkansas is not ranked? They lost one measly game and they drop out of both polls. They are now 8-1 after this easy win. John Pelphrey's move of having Gary Ervin and Patrick Beverley come off the bench seems to be working. Ervin scored 17 in 25 minutes, but will remain on the bench while working on his turnover issue. The count for this game was six. Beverley had 10 and 13 boards. The best thing that has happened to the Razorbacks basketball team is the Bobby Petrino hire. Nobody is paying attention to them so they can fly right under the radar.

Ohio 61 Maryland 65 - Memo to Gary Williams, its time to get your program back on track before its too late for you. This is your alma mater. Start recruiting dude. Talk about a team with a lack of talent outside of the regressing PG Grevis Vasquez and PF James Gist. The Terps are now 6-5 with home losses to Ohio and VCU. Scott Van Pelt is spinning in his grave and the man isn't dead yet.
