A Time Out From Our Politcal Correspondent

Over the next week, you will see some guest bloggers filling in for a few spots. My real job has our annual National Sales Meetings and its going to be hard for me to post as much as I'd like. So in our first installement, he is a post out of our box:

Here is a non sports take, but something that is refreshing and something that sports fans and most guys will love to hear: A candidate for President admits to partying and doing nothing in high school. Barack Obama was in New Hampshire talking to some kids yesterday and admitted to smoking dope and drinking and he was honest. In this day and age of lying politicians and the "religious right", I found this to be pretty cool. It is obvious Obama was just a regular kid growing up in Hawaii and he even glosses that he loved basketball. Here is the article: Here is the article.

Of course, Republican candidate Mitt Romney decided to go with the "holier than thou" rebuttal and answered Obama by saying that Barack is influencing kids to try drugs and alcohol. Give me a break. Romney is such a neb and such a fraud. Here is what Romney said: It’s just not a good idea for people running for President of the United States who potentially could be the role model for a lot of people to talk about their personal failings while they were kids because it opens the doorway to other kids thinking, ‘well I can do that too and become President of the United States,'" Romney told an Iowa audience today. “I think that was a huge error by Barack Obama…it is just the wrong way for people who want to be the leader of the free world.” So I guess Romney has never made any mistakes in his life and just got straight A's in school and went to church every Sunday as a youth and had no friends? Yeah, sounds like a guy I want leading our country.
