I read Game of Shadows, the unbelievable story of how Victor Conte and his BALCO laboratories always stayed a step ahead of the drug testers by developing new and undetectable performance enhancing drugs. Bonds and his personal trainer, Greg Anderson, were Conte's biggest athlete and biggest user. Anyone who thinks Bonds didn't cheat needs to read this book, as well as stop burying their head in the sand.
You name it, Barry tried it. He was cycling on and off of everything under the sun. The now infamous drugs "The Cream" and "The Clear" were among them. All were created by Conte and his various sources. He sold them to Anderson, who would give them to Bonds. Bonds had calenders of when to take what, Anderson supervised and carried them out, along with his weight lifting regiment.
Bonds' defense lawyer John Burris has already come out saying "I'm surprised, but there's been an effort to get Barry for a long time. I'm curious what evidence they have now they didn't have before." Here lies your answer. Greg Anderson was ordered to be released from prison. In other words, he must have flipped. Spending almost two years in jail because you won't tell what you know will do that to you. He has been protecting Bonds for so long, maybe he must have decided that Barry isn't worth it. Guess what Greg, he isn't. Please, I beg you, read Game of Shadows and tell me you still have any respect for Bonds. Not only is he a cheat, but he is one of the alltime worst guys to his family, friends, and teammates.
I hope he gets what he deserves, a long jail sentence.
