Nothing like getting extended one year, and leaving the next. According to the Akron Beacon-Journal's Patrick McManamon, The Browns and Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham have agreed to "part ways." The Browns ranked 30th overall in defense in 2007 and had a bend, but don't break style. Not sure Grantham can be blamed, as the lack of talent, especially on the D-Line was more than evident. Regardless, it looks like Romeo Crennel, the defense is on you for now. And it should be, you are a defensive coach after all. Will the 3-4 stay intact? Will the Browns promote from within, or will Crennel and Phil Savage go outside the organization to fill the coordinator spot? Stay tuned.
