You probably haven't heard the story, but Kansas coach Bill Self did a great thing over the Christmas break. Salina, Kansas 4th grader Hunter Watson, a die hard KU basketball fan, had been struggling since the death of his seven year old sister Chloe to a brain tumor. The coach called the family and reached out to Hunter in particular. He spoke to him over the phone and Hunter loved it. Self invited the entire family to meet the team and come to the Loyola game and sit right behind the bench. The phone call was captured on video and is now up on youtube. Hunter shot hoops with the Jayhawks on Tuesday afternoon and watched the game with his mom and aunt. He had a blast. Check out the call.
